Our Community

The Exchange forms part of the Houlton masterplan, developed by Urban&Civic to create a community of 6,200 homes. Shops, schools, community facilities, sports pitches, and allotments allow our new community to be sustainable.

The introduction of The Exchange is the latest facility to support this vision, including discounted membership for Houlton residents.

Dollman Farm

Dollman Farm is the first local centre at Houlton containing a nursery, convenience store, cafe, and community centre.

Over 10 years ago, Houlton was the site of Rugby Radio Station, the location of the first transatlantic radio signal back in 1927. The name of The Exchange links to one of the many technical machines involved in sending the signals around the world – a place for connection, for an exchange of ideas, for community.

We now celebrate the heritage of the radio station through our chosen road names, the ways we communicate, and our resident collaboration.

Launch of The Exchange

Monday 24th October with four sessions at 9am, 12pm, 3pm and 6pm.
